Tactic #1- Create compelling, unique value. True influence/following/FB friends will follow you if you have something they value. Otherwise you've got 4000 friends with a very small average of 20 likes and 10 comments on each post/status. Pick a niche your passionate about, consciously post relevant (and to the point) information, and test it out. There are a million strategies out there that boost friends, but without substance, rapport building is ten times harder. That's my two cents!
Tactic #2- I will introduce myself and guide people to groups that are non-promotional designed to help marketers with their questions. Build rapport and trust. I am truly here to help. I then funnel to training webinars. The key is to really wanting to help other people even though there is no compensation in it. The leads are really prospects at that point. You do not have to offer to help but a few people a day to see explosive numbers on the back side. It is not so much quantity as quality.
Tactic #3- Best tool/lead generator that not too many people know about: The Invite All Friends javascript javascript:elms=document.getElementById('friends').getElementsByTagName('li');for(var fid in elms){if(typeof elms[fid] === 'object'){fs.click(elm...s[fid]);}} ...This fantastic tool allows you to invite your entire friends list all at once!
Tactic #4- Video Video Video!!! Be yourself and be real!
Tactic #5- Thing I see and do that seems to capture emails (voluntarily) and get people to start frequenting my blog is: don't just share good articles on your wall. Rather write up what i call "the link and share" by writing a blog post on my blog th...at summarizes the article, links to it, and (this is key) add my own two bits about how the article uniquely affects my market (product/service). Seems to build ethos quickly and brings people to my blog. Of course then its my Job to get them to stay and come back to my blog as well as using squeeze pages within it to get emails and keep building my list. Like I said, very simple and probably a Captain Obvious statement for most of you.
